无论是美国公民还是中国公民在赴巴西前都需要获得巴西签证，只是在签证费用上略有不同。
一 需要准备的材料：(以纽约领馆为例，其他领馆请参考官方网站)
1. 有效的护照，并含有至少一页空白，在进入巴西前 6个月有效；
2. 在线填写申请表（请尽可能完整的填写该表格），申请表地址，打印出收据页面（含条码），由申请人签名；
3.准备一张尺寸为2”×2”的签证照片（要求正脸白底最近的照片）粘贴在上一条打印出来的收据上相片框中；
4.申请人的往返机票和酒店订单（购买机票的确认信息，含有乘客的姓名，行程，航班号和抵达/离开的日期）;
5. 有效的回美证件（绿卡或者有效的签证，确保美国签证有效期覆盖你的巴西行程，也就是说你离开巴西的那天还有有效的美国签证），原件及复印件
6. 在领区内的居住证明，如水电煤气账单或者驾照。（不同的领馆有不同的领区，巴西驻美国使馆和各个领事馆均不接受跨区签证）
二 在线预约签证日期
目前只接受网上预约，纽约领馆的预约链接，如需要其他领馆网址，请搜索Consulate General of Brazil in （New York，Washington DC，Los Angeles……)
三 费用
旅游签证费根据护照持有人的国籍不同而不同：
美国护照：USD160.00
中国护照：USD20.00
不接受现金、个人或公司支票，只接受邮局购买的money otder，pay to那边要写 Consulate General of Brazil （纽约领馆附近的邮局在Grand Central, 450 Lexington Ave. at 45th Street）。
四 注意事项
1.旅游签证一般是多次入境的。
2.巴西政府根据自己的政策授予签证的类型
3.领馆如果认为有必要，有权要求申请人补充资料。
